Avery cool pair of Victorian-era earrings, whose elongated, coin-like drops feature the likenesses of a bear and a bull. These animal familiars are rendered realistically, with lots of wonderful texture and depth. They have been applied to oval discs, where they are eachposted atop bars of earth, in a heraldic manner. These coin-like discs hang below a pair of hand-pulled shepherd's hook earwires, that are embellished with a bezel-set, white diamond. The bear and the bull are traditional symbols of the stock market— it is said that a bullish investor invests aggressively, while a bearish investor invests conservatively, but we think these archetypesare universally relevant. You probably have bulls and bears in your life! These earrings are unusual and elegant, and they are light enough for frequent wear. They are solid, not hollow-form. We love them for their symbolic potential, and for their subtle asymmetry! These are finished with a rich, high-color bloom.

Total drop measures approx 1 1/4"; drops measure approx 13.5 x 17.5 mm; diamonds measure approx 2.6 mm.
These drops were originally a pair of Victorian era cufflinks. They have been thoughtfully redesigned and (we think) elevated.
