Whether you have a penchant for nature's peculiarities or an eye for unique jewelry, our Rat King Necklace promises to elevate your style.This necklace was inspired by a fascinating natural phenomenon. A rat king as found in nature (for real!!) is a rare phenomenon where multiple rats become entangled by their tails, forming a tight knot or cluster. This occurrence is incredibly unusual.It's believed to happen when rats nest closely together in cramped spaces, leading to their tails becoming entwined due to various factors like sticky substances, such as sap or glue, or even simply due to the rats' movements and behaviors.

Materials:
Silver Tone: White brass charm on a stainless steel rope chain.
Gold Tone: Brass charm on a gold plated, stainless steel rope chain.
Sterling Silver: All parts are solid sterling silver including the chain and charm.
Gold Plate: Sterling silver everything, then all plated in 14K gold.
14K Gold: All parts are solid 14K yellow gold.

Dimensions:
The diameter of the charm is 1.5 inches or a touch less in some parts as it isn't a perfect circle.
The chain length is 18 inches and the width is 2mm.

The base metals (Silver Tone and Gold Tone) are both 100% brass. White brass is a metallic alloythat is made ofcopperandzinc. There is no nickel in any of my jewelry. For more information on the metals I use, please see the's.
